Billy Cunningham elected as the Judge Advocate for Marine Corps League Detachment

This past Wednesday William (Billy) Cunningham was elected as the Judge Advocate for the Cpl. Joseph Whitehead, Marine Corps League Detachment 1370, Gulf Shores, Alabama. Billy served in the United States Marine Corps from 1974 through 1978 and three of those years were as a legal officer.

The Marine Corps League membership consists of Marines who are on active duty and those who have been honorably discharged.  The league is established to promote the ideals of American freedom and democracy, voluntarily aid and render assistance to all Marines, FMF Corpsmen, former Marines and their widows and orphans.  They join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps. The Cpl. Joseph Whitehead Detachment is active in civic events and chairs the Toys for Tots program for South Baldwin County.
