Globalization and the US Chamber of Commerce

There is a natural tension between those who are injured as a result of dangerous products and those who manufacture those products. The injured people want full compensation and the manufacturer wants to avoid liability. In this age of globalization consumers are faced with an onslaught of defective products manufactured abroad and sold in America.

We are seeing Chinese drywall, melamine in baby formula, lead in children’s toys and many other examples of defective products originating overseas but injuring people in this country. Beware of the efforts of the US Chamber of commerce to protect multinational manufacturers.

As Lou Dobbs points out the US Chamber of Commerce is not advocating for small businesses or for the American people.
